Abhita Malhotra is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Director dedicated to advancing excellence in behavioral healthcare through compassionate leadership, evidence-based treatment, and patient-centered care. As Clinical Director of United Recovery Project Behavioral Health, she provides oversight of the organization’s high-acuity residential behavioral health program, ensuring the delivery of exceptional clinical services while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
With extensive experience in crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, trauma-informed care, quality assurance, and multidisciplinary collaboration, Abhita is passionate about developing strong clinical teams and fostering environments where both patients and professionals can thrive. She works closely with therapists, medical providers, and operational leadership to strengthen clinical programming, enhance treatment outcomes, and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Throughout her career, Abhita has led initiatives focused on clinical operations, program development, performance improvement, documentation excellence, and regulatory readiness. She is especially passionate about mentoring clinicians, supporting professional development, and creating sustainable systems that elevate the quality of behavioral healthcare. Guided by the belief that exceptional patient care begins with exceptional leadership, she is committed to empowering her team while ensuring every patient receives compassionate, individualized care.
Outside of her professional role, Abhita is a certified yoga instructor and an advocate for whole-person wellness. She enjoys strength training, Pilates, nutrition, mindfulness, and lifelong learning, with a special interest in the connection between physical and mental well-being. Her passion for helping others extends beyond the clinical setting as she continues to inspire those around her to pursue healthier, more balanced, and purpose-driven lives.
